Real Barrier

Real Barrier is a barrier-care skincare brand. The moisture barrier is the skin's outer layer that holds water in and keeps irritants out, and when it is weakened skin tends to feel tight, dry, or reactive. Real Barrier's products are formulated to support that layer, which is why the core line carries the "Extreme" name across a toner, lotion, cream, and ampoule. If your skin feels dehydrated or sensitised, this is a brand aimed squarely at that concern.

The Extreme line is the heart of the range and works as a sequence. The Extreme Essence Toner (200ml) goes on first as a watery hydrating step. The Extreme Lotion (150ml) follows as a lighter moisturiser, or you can step up to the richer Extreme Cream (50ml). The Extreme Cream Ampoule (50ml) is a concentrated booster you can add when skin needs more. Together they build hydration from thin to rich rather than relying on a single heavy cream.

Several Extreme products come in two textures. There is an Extreme Essence Toner and an Extreme Essence Toner Light, and an Extreme Cream alongside an Extreme Cream Light. The regular versions give more cushion and suit drier or winter skin; the Light versions feel thinner and absorb faster, which works better for combination skin or warmer weather. Choosing between them is mostly about how heavy you want each step to feel.

The Cream Cleansing Foam (120ml) is the brand's wash step. A cream-textured foam cleanser rinses away the day without stripping, which fits a barrier-care routine where the goal is to avoid leaving skin tight after washing. Cleansing comes first, before the toner, so the rest of the routine goes onto clean, slightly damp skin where the hydrating layers absorb best.

The Moisture Barrier Sun Cream (50ml) extends barrier care into daytime protection, pairing UV defence with the same moisture focus as the rest of the range, so it sits as the final morning step. The Extreme Moisture Lip Balm (33g) covers the lips, an area that dries and flakes easily. Both round out the routine beyond the face-cream steps and are worth adding once your core toner-and-cream routine is settled.

A full Real Barrier routine runs: cleanse with the Cream Cleansing Foam, hydrate with the Extreme Essence Toner, layer the Extreme Lotion or Extreme Cream, and add the Extreme Cream Ampoule when skin needs an extra boost. In the morning finish with the Moisture Barrier Sun Cream; any time of day, use the lip balm as needed. You do not need every product at once. Start with the toner and a cream, then build out.

Real Barrier is aimed at dry, dehydrated, and sensitised skin, and the light-texture options open it up to combination skin too. If your skin feels tight after cleansing or flares up easily, the Extreme line gives a gentle, layered way to rebuild hydration. Very oily skin can still use the toner and a Light cream, while drier skin will lean on the regular Extreme Cream and the ampoule.
