Two shades in the line, Concealer and Contour, are named for their job rather than a lip color. They're built to spot-correct or shade the face in stick form, using the same twist-up format as the rest of the line rather than a separate compact.

Trace the natural lip line first, then fill in from the corners toward the center. Because the tip is a standard liner point, it also works to sharpen the edge of a lipstick that's started to blur.

For a full-lip look, pat the color in from the center outward with a fingertip instead of dragging the stick edge to edge. That keeps the color soft at the outer corners rather than leaving a hard ring.

The liner shades also work underneath a gloss or balm to keep color from feathering, and the tinted shades can sit under a clear balm for extra shine without diluting the tone.

Like most cream-tint sticks, it fades gradually with eating and drinking rather than wiping off in one pass, so a light reapplication after a meal keeps the color even.

Twist the stick fully down and cap it after each use to stop the tip from drying out or picking up lint, and keep it out of direct heat since the cream base softens in warm cars or bags.
