Wipes and tissues are a compromise format: they remove surface makeup and sunscreen effectively but cannot massage as thoroughly as a liquid oil applied with hands. Liquid cleansing oils deliver a more thorough cleanse than wipes because you apply them to dry skin with massage, giving the oil-based solvents time to contact and break down sunscreen and makeup evenly.
