Cream Skin is one of Laneige's most innovative product concepts - a formula that has the consistency of a milky toner but delivers the nourishment of a light cream. The idea is to eliminate the sharp boundary between toning and moisturising steps, allowing one application to prime the skin for absorption and deliver initial moisture at the same time.

The range includes:

• Cream Skin Refill: The original Cream Skin formula in a refill-compatible format, reducing packaging waste.
• Cream Skin Cerapeptide Mist: The Cream Skin concept in a mist format, using Cerapeptide technology (ceramides + peptides) to target barrier repair alongside hydration. Can be used mid-routine or as a refreshing layer over makeup.
• Cream Skin Zincpep Toner and Gel Moisturiser: A dual-step approach combining a Zinc + Peptide toner with a gel moisturiser designed for combination or oily-leaning skin that still needs hydration without heaviness.

Cream Skin products replace or supplement the toner step in a routine. They are applied after cleansing, before any targeted serums or heavier creams.

The Water Bank line is Laneige's foundational hydration series. The Blue Hyaluronic generation uses a multi-weight hyaluronic acid complex - molecules of different sizes that target hydration at different depths in the skin, rather than sitting only on the surface.

Two key products from this line appear in the collection:

• Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Essence Toner for Combination to Oily Skin: A lighter, water-forward formula that hydrates without adding oil. Designed for the T-zone-oily, cheek-dry profile that is very common.

The Perfect Renew 3X Skin Refiner Advanced is the skin-collection entry from Laneige's anti-aging line. The 3X designation refers to a triple-action formula targeting firmness, wrinkle appearance, and skin renewal simultaneously.

Skin Refiner in the Laneige nomenclature is a treatment toner - applied after cleansing and before essence or moisturiser to deliver concentrated actives to primed skin. The Perfect Renew version uses peptide-driven actives and surface renewal technology. It suits skin in the early to mid stages of visible aging - fine lines, loss of firmness at the jawline and around the eyes - rather than deep structural changes which require different interventions.

Apply after cleansing, pressing the refiner gently into skin rather than wiping. Follow with a serum or moisturiser suited to your other skin concerns.

The Laneige Skin Veil Base EX occupies the intersection between skincare and makeup prep. It is a tinted or clear base applied after skincare and before foundation or on its own as a light complexion product. The Skin Veil concept creates a smooth surface that blurs the appearance of pores and uneven texture without the coverage of a BB cream or foundation.

The EX suffix indicates the upgraded formula. It has a light, comfortable texture and contains SPF protection - making it a functional layer even on days when you would otherwise skip separate sunscreen and primer.

Applied after your regular skincare, it sets the surface for makeup application and extends the wear of any foundation applied over it. On low-maintenance days, it can function on its own to even out skin tone with a natural, no-makeup look.

Laneige's Homme line represents the brand's approach to men's skin, which is formulated differently from the standard women's range. Men's skin is on average thicker, oilier, and faces the additional stress of daily shaving. The Homme products that appear in the skin collection include:

The All-in-One product is the lowest-barrier entry point - one application after cleansing and you are done. The Active Water Skin and Blue Energy Toner EX are used as the first step in a slightly more involved routine before a separate moisturiser.

The standard Korean skincare layering principle applies to Laneige products: lightest texture first, heaviest last. Here is how the collection products fit:

1. Cleanse.
2. Essence Toner or Skin Refiner - Water Bank Essence Toner or Perfect Renew Refiner, depending on concern. One or the other, not both simultaneously unless you have very dry skin.

Refill formats are more economical per ml and generate significantly less plastic waste than repurchasing a new pump bottle each time. For a product you use daily, the refill is the logical choice once you have committed to it as a routine staple.
