Kerasys Advanced Ampoule

Standard shampoos are primarily cleansing agents - they remove buildup from the scalp and hair shaft but spend less than two minutes in contact with the hair before rinsing. That contact window is short enough that a standard shampoo cannot deposit significant amounts of conditioning or repair ingredients even if they are present in the formula.

Ampoule shampoos address this by increasing the concentration of active ingredients to the point where the short wash window is sufficient for meaningful deposit. The result is a product that cleans and treats simultaneously, reducing the need to rely entirely on a separate post-wash conditioner for hair condition maintenance.

The Repair sub-line is the most structurally focused in the Advanced Ampoule range. It targets hair weakened by heat styling, chemical treatment (color, bleach, perm), or mechanical stress (brushing, friction from tight styling). Available in shampoo formats (600 ml, 750 ml, 1000 ml) and treatment formats (600 ml, 1000 ml), the Repair Ampoule aims to reinforce the hair fiber and reduce breakage over continued use.

The 1000 ml treatment format is particularly relevant for the Repair line - intensive repair work requires consistent application, and a larger bottle supports daily or every-other-day use over an extended period without frequent reordering. Using the Repair Shampoo and Repair Treatment together (as a shampoo + mask protocol) addresses both the cleaning and treatment phases in a single routine.

The Volume Ampoule line addresses fine, flat, or limp hair that tends to lose shape and lift quickly after washing. Available in shampoo (600 ml, 750 ml) and treatment (600 ml), the Volume sub-line aims to improve the appearance of body and thickness without stripping the hair's natural oils or causing the dryness that conventional volumizing formulas sometimes produce.

For fine hair, the treatment format in this sub-line should be applied from the mid-lengths to the ends rather than from root to tip - applying conditioning products at the scalp on fine hair can weigh it down and reduce the volume the shampoo is designed to support.

The Moisture Ampoule line targets dry, coarse, or brittle hair that lacks flexibility and softness. Available in shampoo (600 ml) and treatment (600 ml), it delivers concentrated hydrating ingredients to the hair shaft during washing and conditioning, aiming to restore the water-oil balance that keeps hair manageable and less prone to frizz and breakage.

The Moisture Treatment works best when used as a mask - applied after shampooing and left on for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing. The extended contact time is particularly effective for very dry or thick hair types where the treatment ingredients need longer to penetrate the hair cortex than a quick rinse-off conditioner application provides.

The Kerasys Advanced Ampoule line sells shampoos and treatments as separate products, and each can be used independently or in combination:

• Shampoo only: delivers treatment actives during the cleaning phase. Practical for time-limited routines or maintenance use when the hair condition is not severely compromised.
• Treatment only (over a different shampoo): focuses the conditioning and repair deposit on the post-wash phase. Useful if you have a preferred shampoo and want to add the Kerasys Ampoule treatment to your existing routine.
• Both together: the most complete approach, addressing both wash-in and post-wash treatment. Particularly recommended for the Repair and Moisture lines where consistent active deposit across multiple routine stages produces the most visible results.

The Advanced Ampoule shampoos and treatments come in 600 ml, 750 ml, and 1000 ml sizes. For a single daily user:

• 600 ml lasts roughly 2 to 3 months.
• 750 ml lasts roughly 3 months.
• 1000 ml lasts roughly 4 to 5 months.

The 1000 ml is only available for the Repair Ampoule shampoo and treatment. If the Repair line is the right fit for your hair - and you plan to use it consistently - the 1000 ml format provides the best cost per wash and reduces reorder frequency. Start with 600 ml for any sub-line you have not tried yet.

The Kerasys Advanced Ampoule shampoos and treatments fit into a standard wash routine without requiring additional steps. A complete routine might look like:

• Wet hair and scalp thoroughly.
• Apply shampoo, massage into scalp for 60 to 90 seconds, distribute through lengths, rinse.
• Apply treatment from mid-lengths to ends (avoiding scalp for Volume line). For standard conditioning: rinse after 1 to 2 minutes. For a mask session: leave on 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing.
• Optionally: follow with the Advanced Total Recovery Serum as a leave-in on damp hair.

The ampoule shampoos and treatments are compatible with other leave-in products from the Advanced line, as well as general styling products. They do not require co-washing or a specific companion product outside the Kerasys range.

The Repair and Moisture Ampoule shampoos are designed for use on both the scalp and the hair shaft - the cleansing function applies to the scalp, and the ampoule active ingredients work on the hair fiber. The Volume Ampoule shampoo similarly applies scalp-to-ends during washing.

For treatments (conditioners and masks), apply from the mid-lengths to the ends rather than the scalp across all sub-lines. Conditioning ingredients applied directly to the scalp can weigh hair down and - for oily scalp types - contribute to buildup that shortens the time before the next wash is needed. The hair shaft from mid-length down is where the treatment deposit matters most for the repair, volume, and moisture goals the line targets.
