Isoi Mask

isoi's Bulgarian Rose masks come in two variants: the Refresh Mask (80 g) and the Intensive Lifting Corset Mask Pack (50 ml). Both draw on Bulgarian rose extract, which carries a reputation for antioxidant and brightening properties in cosmetic formulation. The Rose extract in these products is a real sourcing decision by isoi - Bulgarian rose is considered higher quality than synthetic rose fragrance or lower-grade rose water by many formulators.

The Refresh Mask is the lighter option, aimed at improving radiance and texture without a long treatment window. The Lifting Corset Mask Pack is more intensive - the 'corset' naming refers to a tightening, firming sensation from the formula rather than any physical mechanism. Use the Refresh mask for a regular weekly glow step; use the Corset pack when skin looks particularly dull or tired.

There is also a Dawn Rose Mask variant (80 g) that positions itself as a morning prep step - a faster apply-and-rinse format rather than a leave-on treatment.

The Blemish Care Mask (20 ml) is the smallest-format product in the range and the most targeted. It functions best as a replacement for the serum and cream step on the evenings you use it - stacking it on top of an already-active serum routine can over-treat the skin and cause temporary sensitivity. If you're also using the isoi Blemish Care Serum regularly, use the mask on one or two nights a week rather than every night.

The Intensive Corset Mask Pack (50 ml) is the general-purpose deep treatment in the isoi mask range, separate from the rose-specific Lifting Corset variant. It's a wash-off pack format - apply a thick layer, leave for 10 to 15 minutes until it starts to set, then rinse. The formula is designed to deliver intensive hydration and a temporary tightening effect.

Use it once a week at most. More frequent use can disrupt the skin barrier by repeatedly stripping and re-flooding the surface layer. After rinsing, follow with your usual serum and moisturiser - the pack prepares the surface for absorption, so the products you apply next will penetrate more effectively.

The Akni Doctor 1st Speedy Mask (available in 20 ml and a standard size) is isoi's fastest-acting blemish intervention product. The 'Speedy' name refers to a short application window - this is not a 20-minute treatment but a 5 to 10 minute targeted application on specific spots. It's designed for the moments when you need to reduce a visible blemish quickly, such as the night before an event.

It pairs with the wider Akni Doctor line and is most effective when you're already on a regular blemish-care routine. Using it as a standalone rescue product once in a while will give limited results compared to consistent routine use.

The Refreshing Lip Sleeping Mask (25 g) is an overnight balm-mask hybrid. Apply it as the final step in your evening routine, directly on the lips, and leave it overnight. The format deposits a layer of emollients that prevents trans-epidermal moisture loss from the lip surface, which is particularly useful in air-conditioned rooms, on flights, or during winter months when lips tend to crack and peel.

The 'Refreshing' description refers to the scent and sensory profile - it's not a tingling menthol product but a light, pleasant-scented formula. A small amount goes a long way; the 25 g jar should last several months with daily use.

The Moisture Dr. Zhang Sujin Moisture Mask and the Chicago Sika SOS Mask Pack cover the hydration-focused end of the range. The Moisture Mask is aimed at skin that's been compromised by dehydration - overuse of actives, travel, or seasonal dryness. The SOS pack is a calming treatment for reactive skin that needs a break from regular routine products.

Use either of these after an extended period on strong exfoliants or when skin is showing signs of over-treatment - tightness, flaking in patches, or mild stinging on application of normal products. Both are designed to restore rather than treat, so keep your routine simple around the days you use them.

Masks should be used once or twice a week at most - more frequent use rarely improves results and often creates an unstable skin barrier from repeated treatment cycles. A practical weekly framework:

• Sunday evening: Intensive Corset Pack or Bulgarian Rose mask - deep treatment before the working week starts.
• Wednesday evening: Blemish Care Mask or Akni Speedy Mask if you have active breakouts - mid-week correction.
• Any night: Lip Sleeping Mask - this one is safe for daily use because lips don't have the same barrier sensitivity as the rest of the face.

Don't combine two active masks on the same night. Pick the one that addresses your most pressing concern and let it do its job without competition.

For wash-off packs (Corset, SOS): cleanse first, apply the mask on clean dry skin, leave for the specified time, rinse thoroughly, then proceed with serum and moisturiser. For leave-on treatments (Blemish Care Mask, Moisture Mask): apply after cleansing and before your serum - or replace the serum step entirely with the mask on treatment nights.

For the Bulgarian Rose sheet mask variants: apply after toner but before serum. After removing the mask, press in remaining essence and let it fully absorb. Skip heavy oil-based products immediately after a sheet mask if your skin tends to pill when layering.

Lip Sleeping Mask: apply as the absolute last step, after everything else including eye cream.

Jar-format masks (Moisture, SOS Pack, Corset Pack) benefit from a small spatula during use to avoid introducing bacteria from fingers into the product. Most isoi jar products come with a spatula included. Store them with the lid closed in a cool, dry place. The Lip Sleeping Mask particularly benefits from a consistent room-temperature environment - do not store it near heat sources as the balm texture can melt and re-solidify with a grainier texture.

Sheet mask pouches (Blemish Care Mask, Akni Speedy Mask) can be stored in the refrigerator - the cool temperature adds a mild de-puffing effect on application. This is optional rather than a storage requirement.
