IPKN Pencils

The IPKN Optimal Eyebrow Pencil is the core product in this collection. It comes in two thicknesses: 0.25g (a finer tip for detailed hair-stroke brow filling) and 0.3g (a slightly broader tip for faster full-brow filling). Both sizes are available in No.01 Soft Brown and No.02 Dark Brown. Soft Brown suits fair to medium skin tones and lighter natural brow colors; Dark Brown suits deeper skin tones or naturally dark brows.

The Optimal 1+1 Eyebrow Pencil set bundles two pencils - a practical purchase for regular users who go through a single pencil in four to six weeks at daily use. At 0.25g, each thin pencil has a shorter use life than a standard 0.5g brow pencil, which makes the 1+1 set the more economical format for frequent brow-pencil users.

The 0.25g tip is fine enough for individual hair-stroke strokes - the technique of drawing small upward strokes in the direction of brow hair growth that mimics real hairs. This creates a natural-looking defined brow rather than a solid filled shape. Use light pressure and short strokes, starting from the arch toward the tail before filling the front where color should be lighter.

The 0.3g tip fills faster with a slightly broader stroke - better for a block-fill or stronger brow shape where individual hair strokes are less important. Both tips are retractable pencils with a spoolie or angled brush on the other end - use the spoolie to blend after filling to soften any harsh edges and distribute color through the brow hairs.

Two eye pencil formulas are in the IPKN collection. The My Smokey Pencil Liner 1.5g is a soft, blendable kohl-style pencil. It applies with medium intensity and smudges easily with a finger or smudge brush while the formula is fresh, which makes it suited for smoky eye looks, lower lash line definition, or a deliberate diffused liner effect. At 1.5g it is a substantial size for a liner pencil.

The Lively Slim Gel Pencil Eyeliner 0.12g is the precision option - ultra-thin at 0.12g, with a gel formula that sets to a sharper, more defined line without smudging. Use it for upper lid thin-line definition, inner corner highlight with a nude or white shade, or tight-lining the upper waterline. The gel formula lasts longer without smudging than the softer Smokey Pencil, but it is harder to blend.

IPKN bundles the My Smokey Pencil Eyeliner with a Lip and Eye Remover in a single set. The practical logic is direct: a smudgeable kohl-style liner requires a gentle, effective eye makeup remover to clean up without tugging. Oil-based or biphasic removers dissolve kohl pencil cleanly, while micellar or water-based removers may require more rubbing that irritates the delicate eye area.

This set is a good starting purchase if you are new to the My Smokey Pencil Liner and do not yet have a dedicated eye remover - it gives you both the formula and the tool to remove it correctly without buying them separately.

Two lip pencils appear in the IPKN collection. The Floppy Lip Pencil 0.3g is a fine, soft lip liner for precise definition and filling. "Floppy" in the product name suggests a softer, bendable tip that applies smoothly without dragging on the lip surface. At 0.3g it is a standard lip liner size. Use it to define the outer lip edge before lipstick, to prevent bleeding of rich or dark lip colors, or to fill the entire lip as a matte lip base.

The Puffy Contour Lip Pencil 0.8g is larger and has a contouring function - "puffy" suggests a formula designed to create the appearance of lip volume by applying a liner outside the natural lip line. At 0.8g it provides more product per purchase than the Floppy. This format is used in the Korean "glass lip" and "ombre lip" techniques where the contour pencil is blended toward the center of the lips.

Most pencil makeup products require a standard cosmetic pencil sharpener. The 0.25g Optimal Eyebrow Pencil has a thin core - use a sharpener with a small-diameter hole to avoid snapping the core. Chill the pencil in the refrigerator for five minutes before sharpening if the tip is soft; a colder formula breaks less often under the sharpener blade. Gel pencil eyeliners like the Lively Slim Gel Pencil Eyeliner are more brittle than wax-based pencils - sharpen slowly with light pressure.

Store pencil makeup horizontally rather than tip-down to prevent the core from softening from the tip up in warm temperatures. In humid climates, keep in a cool, dry location to prevent formula degradation.

The two available shades for the Optimal Eyebrow Pencil follow a general rule: match your pencil shade to a tone one to two shades lighter than your natural brow hair. For brows that are naturally dark brown to black, No.02 Dark Brown fills without looking flat or artificial. For medium or ashy-brown natural brows, No.01 Soft Brown gives a more natural result that does not stand out as drawn-on.

Lighter hair colors (blonde to light brown) are not covered by these two shades - they work for the brown-to-dark-brown range typical in East Asian and many European hair colors. If your natural brows are significantly lighter than medium brown, a taupe or ash-blonde brow pencil from another brand may be more accurate. For both shades, use a spoolie to blend after filling.
