Aloe barbadensis leaf extract contains several active components:

• Polysaccharides (acemannan): form a hydrogel on the skin surface that holds moisture and creates a soothing film. This is the main mechanism behind aloe's cooling and calming reputation.
• Glycoproteins: have anti-inflammatory properties, reducing redness and calming irritation.
• Vitamins C and E: antioxidants present in the leaf gel that provide mild protection against oxidative stress.
• Enzymes (bradykinase): help reduce excess inflammation on the skin surface.

The result is an ingredient that simultaneously hydrates, calms, and forms a temporary protective film - making it effective for sun exposure recovery, post-exfoliation sensitivity, and everyday reactive skin management.

FOODAHOLIC Aloe Vera Soothing Gel comes in 500ml and 1000ml sizes. The 1000ml is the largest format in the range and is practical for full-body application after sun exposure, or as a regular large-bottle purchase for households with high usage.

The gel can be used on the face and body. It is a versatile product - common uses include:

• After sun exposure: apply generously to hot or reddened skin immediately after a shower. The cooling effect is noticeable; refrigerating the gel before use enhances this.
• After shaving or waxing: apply as a calming layer over freshly shaved skin to reduce razor burn.

The Soothing Mist is an aloe-based spray for refreshing and calming the skin throughout the day. The 200ml is the standard desk or bathroom shelf size; the 118ml is travel-size. Uses:

• Setting spray alternative: the fine mist can be used after makeup application to add dewy moisture (it will not set or fix makeup, but it cools and refreshes).

Use as the water-based second-cleanse step in a double-cleanse, or as a standalone face wash on days when you are not wearing heavy makeup. Rinse thoroughly - do not leave cleanser residue on the skin, as it can disrupt the pH balance the aloe is meant to support.

The Ultra Facial Aloe Herb Cream (100ml) is a moisturising cream combining aloe vera gel with herbal extracts. It is the most substantial skincare step in the FOODAHOLIC aloe range - a full moisturiser suitable as the closing step of an evening routine, or as a daytime moisturiser for dry skin. The combination of aloe and herbs provides both hydration and mild skin-conditioning from the botanical components.

Apply after serum or essence, before sunscreen in the morning. For dry skin, this cream can replace a separate serum step on days when the routine needs to be simplified.

The Aromatic Oil Aloe (465ml) is the body-care product in the aloe range - a large-format aromatic oil for skin and hair. Aloe in an oil formulation is typically a blend of aloe extract carried in an emollient oil base (jojoba, squalane, or similar). It is used as a body moisturiser applied to damp skin after showering, where the oil seals in water while the aloe provides conditioning properties.

The 465ml size is generous and practical for regular full-body application. Apply by pouring a small amount into the palms and massaging into damp skin from the calves upward. It can also be used as a hair treatment for dry ends - apply a small amount to the ends only and avoid the scalp.
