Farm Stay Shea Butter Cream

Shea butter is high in stearic and oleic fatty acids that reinforce the skin barrier and slow moisture evaporation. Farm Stay uses it as the core moisturising ingredient in their shea butter range because it delivers lasting hydration without a waxy or greasy after-feel when properly formulated. It also contains vitamin E, which provides mild antioxidant protection during the day.

Apply after cleansing, on slightly damp skin. Scoop a pea-sized amount and warm it between your fingertips before pressing gently into the skin. As an all-in-one product it can replace toner, essence and moisturiser for a simplified routine, or be used as the final moisturising step in a layered routine. For best absorption, avoid applying too thick a layer in one go -- two lighter applications absorb better than one heavy one.

The Tropical Fruit hand creams feature shea butter as their lead ingredient, blended with complementary fruit butters (avocado, mango, kalamansi). They are richer and more occlusive, better suited for nighttime use or very dry skin. The Visible Difference hand creams are lighter and faster-absorbing, designed for frequent daytime reapplication after hand washing. Use the Visible Difference creams during the day and the Tropical Shea creams in the evening for best results.

The all-in-one cream is formulated primarily for dry and normal skin. It has a richer texture than a gel moisturiser and may feel heavy on oily skin when used all over the face. For oily skin a lighter gel moisturiser as a base with the shea cream on dry zones is a better combination.

Yes. Applying a generous layer of the full shea butter or avocado shea cream before bed and covering with cotton gloves for 30-60 minutes creates an overnight moisture treatment. The gloves prevent the cream from transferring and allow it to absorb more deeply.
