EVESEL uses an alphanumeric shade coding system. The number indicates the level (depth) and the letter indicates the tone:

• N - Natural (neutral undertone): 5N Natural Brown, 9N Ultra Light Tan
• G - Golden: 6G Dark Golden Blonde, 8G Bright Golden Blonde, 12G Highlighter
• V - Violet: 5V Dark Violet Blonde, 6V Bright Violet Blonde
• Control Line GP - Wine (gray coverage series)
• Control Line AG - Ash Gray (gray coverage series)
• Control Line TS - Silver

Higher numbers are lighter levels. The 9N and 12G are the lightest base shades; the 5N and 5V are dark. The Control Line shades (GP, AG, TS) are specialist tones in the gray and silver family.

The oxidizer volume is designed to work with the 120ml color in the correct developer-to-color ratio. You do not need to purchase the oxidizer separately. Follow these steps for a standard application:

1. Mix - combine the color tube and oxidizer in the ratio shown on the box (typically 1:1 or 1:1.5). Mix in a non-metallic bowl until smooth and slightly creamy.
2. Section - divide dry hair into four sections using clips. Start at the roots.
3. Apply - work the mixture through each section from root to tip using an applicator brush or the included applicator if provided. Saturate the hair fully.
4. Process - leave on for 30 to 40 minutes depending on hair porosity and the shade guide on the box. Darker shades on resistant gray may need the full 40 minutes.
5. Rinse - rinse thoroughly with cool water until the water runs clear, then shampoo and condition.

Always perform a strand test 24 to 48 hours before a full application and a skin allergy test at least 48 hours in advance.

One 120ml bottle typically covers short to medium-length hair (chin to shoulder length). For medium to long hair, plan for two bottles of the same shade. Very long or thick hair may require three. If you are uncertain, it is better to have an extra bottle available than to run out mid-application, as mixing an exact color match later can be difficult.

The Control Line shades (GP Wine, AG Gray, TS Silver) are formulated specifically for gray and white hair. They provide stronger pigment deposit at lower developer levels, which means the color takes on gray hair more evenly. GP Wine gives gray hair a warm wine-tinted finish. AG Gray neutralizes yellowing in gray hair without adding a visible tint. TS Silver pushes the hair toward a cool silver finish - ideal if you want to lean into gray rather than cover it.

The 12G Highlighter is a very light golden shade for lifting sections to a pale blonde. It is best used on hair that has been pre-lightened or is naturally light to medium brown. On dark hair, a 12G shade will produce an orange-to-gold result without prior lightening - if you want a very pale or near-white result on dark hair, a bleach pre-lightening step is required before applying 12G.
