DEWYTREE uses three distinct formats in this collection. The Essence Water (150 ml, multiple sub-lines) is the most common: a thin, watery formula applied after cleansing to begin the hydration stack. It is closer to a toner in consistency than to a serum, but it carries a higher snail filtrate concentration than a basic toner would.

The Essence Toner (150 ml, Vitalizing) sits at the lighter end of the range -- slightly more watery than the Essence Water and best used immediately after cleansing when the skin is still slightly damp. The Essence Serum (70 ml, Vitalizing) is the most concentrated format by volume: smaller bottle, higher active density, absorbed after the Essence Water step rather than before it.

All three essence water sub-lines use the same 150 ml format but differ in the supporting formula around the SSF core. Ultra Vitalizing Snail Essence Water targets brightening and barrier support with a light, fast-absorbing base -- suitable for most skin types and all seasons. Ultra Nourishing Snail Essence Water adds more humectant and occlusive support to the base, making it better for dry or dehydrated skin, or as a seasonal switch during colder months.

Ultra S4 Intensive Snail Essence Water is the highest-concentration variant, layering four snail-derived actives as in the S4 cream. It is suited for intensive hydration phases, mature skin that needs maximum snail active exposure at every routine step, or use after professional procedures where the barrier is temporarily compromised.

The Ultra Vitalizing Snail Essence Water is available in 3-piece (three 150 ml bottles) and 4-piece (four 150 ml bottles) sets in addition to individual units. At twice-daily use, a single 150 ml bottle lasts roughly eight to twelve weeks depending on how generously it is applied. A 3-piece set therefore covers approximately six to nine months; a 4-piece set covers eight to twelve months.

These multi-pack sets are designed for customers who have confirmed they respond well to the formula and want to avoid reordering frequency. Per-bottle cost in the multi-pack is lower than buying individual bottles at the same price tier.

DEWYTREE offers the Ultra Nourishing and Ultra S4 essence waters bundled with their matching emulsions (150 ml each) as combination sets. These sets pair the early-routine essence step with the mid-routine emulsion in the same sub-line, ensuring compatible formula chemistry between layers without requiring you to buy each piece separately.

For the Nourishing line, the essence-plus-emulsion set is especially practical because both the essence water and the emulsion are richer than their Vitalizing counterparts -- buying them as a set rather than mixing a rich essence with a light emulsion from a different sub-line keeps the moisture weight consistent across the routine.

Apply the essence water to cleansed skin while it is still slightly damp -- damp skin absorbs water-based layers more efficiently than completely dry skin. Pour a small amount (roughly the size of a 1-yen coin, or one to two pumps if the bottle has a pump dispenser) into the palm of your hand, then press and pat it across the face rather than rubbing. Pressing keeps the active ingredients in contact with the surface rather than dragging them off with friction.

Let the essence water absorb for 30 to 60 seconds before applying any subsequent layer. If you are using both the Essence Toner and the Essence Serum in the same routine, apply the toner first, let it absorb, then apply the serum. Trying to apply both simultaneously reduces the absorption efficiency of both layers.

The correct position for DEWYTREE Ultra Snail Essence Water is immediately after cleansing (and after a separate first-cleanse step if using an oil or balm cleanser). It precedes any sheet masks, serums, emulsions, creams, or sunscreen. If you use the bundle set, the emulsion follows after the essence water has absorbed, then your regular moisturiser if needed, then SPF in the morning.

Do not apply essence water over exfoliants that have not yet been rinsed off -- AHA and BHA treatments should be applied after the essence step so they sit on top of a well-hydrated surface rather than competing for absorption with the SSF layer.

Normal skin handles all three sub-lines well. The Vitalizing variant is the default choice; switching to S4 during high-stress phases (after sun exposure, seasonal dryness, or after a facial procedure) provides extra active support without committing to a full formula change.

Oily and acne-prone skin often benefits most from the Vitalizing essence water -- it provides snail filtrate's calming and barrier-repair benefits without adding emollient weight that can feel heavy on oil-producing skin. Dry and dehydrated skin should start with the Nourishing variant; its additional humectant support prevents the "tight" feeling that water-only essence applications can leave on very dry skin if not followed quickly by richer layers. Sensitive and post-procedure skin: the S4 Intensive is appropriate here because of its concentrated SSF load, but patch-test before applying over any actively irritated or broken skin.

Essence waters are stable at room temperature if stored away from direct sunlight. Multi-pack sets do not need to be refrigerated until opened; once a bottle is opened, use within six months. If you live in a very warm climate, storing opened bottles in a cool cupboard or the refrigerator door extends potency and makes the application experience more refreshing.

The S4 Intensive variant, which carries a higher active concentration, benefits more from consistent cool storage than the Vitalizing formula does. Avoid leaving any of these formulas in a hot car or on a windowsill -- heat degrades the snail-derived peptide and glycoprotein fractions faster than room temperature does.
