A double-cleanse routine uses an oil-based first step to remove SPF, sunscreen, and makeup, followed by a water-based second cleanser to remove remaining residue and skin surface debris. COSRX offers dedicated products for both steps. The Pure Fit Cica Clear Cleansing Oil (200ml) is the first-cleanse option, designed to emulsify with water and rinse clean without leaving residue. Any of the foam, gel, or micellar water options work as second-cleanse steps on bare skin or after the oil step.

For mornings when only a gentle cleanse is needed (no sunscreen to remove), a single water-based step is sufficient - the Low pH Good Night Soft Peeling Gel at night replaces the need for a morning cleanse in some minimalist routines.

The Pure Fit Cica series includes a cleansing oil, a creamy foam cleanser, and a standard gel cleanser, all built around centella asiatica extract. Centella calms irritation during and after cleansing, making the line suited to reactive or post-treatment skin. The creamy foam version (150ml) has a richer, gentler lather suited to dry or sensitive skin; the standard Cica Cleanser (150ml) has a lighter gel texture for a cleaner post-wash feel. The Advanced Snail Mucin Gel Cleanser (150ml) uses COSRX's signature snail secretion filtrate as a conditioning active within a low-pH gel cleanser formula. Unlike most cleansers that strip some moisture during the cleansing process, the snail mucin addition provides a barrier-supportive element that leaves skin feeling less tight after rinsing. It is suited to normal to dry skin that benefits from additional conditioning at the cleanse step.

The gel texture produces minimal lather, which aligns with the Korean skincare principle that heavy lather is unnecessary and can be harsh. It rinses cleanly without a film and is appropriate for both morning and evening use.

The Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser (available in 150ml and 50ml) delivers a controlled dose of BHA during the cleansing step. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble and penetrates pores to dissolve sebum and debris, making this cleanser well suited to oily, congested, or acne-prone skin. "Gentle" in the name reflects the concentration - it is designed for daily use rather than as an intensive weekly treatment.

Because a cleanser is rinsed off within 30-60 seconds, the BHA contact time is limited compared to a leave-on BHA serum. This cleanser is best used as a complement to (not replacement for) a dedicated BHA toner or serum if active exfoliation is a primary routine goal. It works well as a standalone option for mild congestion maintenance.

The AC Collection Calming Foam Cleanser (150ml) is from COSRX's dedicated acne sub-line. It combines a foam format with calming ingredients designed to reduce the irritation load that standard blemish-control cleansers can cause. The formula addresses oily, congested skin without the stripping quality that triggers rebound oil production. It is well suited to skin that is actively breaking out and benefits from a consistent, non-aggravating cleansing step as the foundation of an acne routine.

For the most controlled approach to an acne cleansing step, pair this cleanser with the Salicylic Acid or One Step pads as subsequent active steps rather than using all available BHA products simultaneously.

COSRX offers two micellar cleansing water variants (both 400ml): the Low pH Niacinamide Micellar Cleansing Water and the Mildly Acidic Niacinamide Micellar Cleansing Water. Both combine micellar technology (gentle surfactant micelles that lift makeup and debris without rubbing) with niacinamide for a brightening and tone-evening function at the cleansing step. The low pH and mildly acidic designations refer to formula pH, which supports the skin's natural acid mantle rather than disrupting it.

At 400ml, these are practical first-cleanse or standalone options for people who prefer a no-rinse or low-water cleansing approach. Micellar water is gentler than foam or gel cleansing and suits sensitive skin that reacts to lather-based formats.

The Low pH Good Night Soft Peeling Gel (120ml) is a leave-briefly exfoliating gel that is applied after cleansing and left on for a few minutes before rinsing, or used as a final rinse-off cleansing step on days when surface skin removal is the goal. It uses a mild combination of chemical and enzymatic exfoliants at a low pH to dissolve dead surface cells without physical scrubbing. The "good night" positioning means it is intended for evening use.

This product is distinct from the rest of the COSRX cleansing range in that it is part treatment (targeted exfoliation) and part cleanse. It suits normal to combination skin as a weekly or twice-weekly evening step, especially when the skin feels textured or congested despite regular daily cleansing.
